Office Update, December 11, 2015

Just of couple of reminders from the office this busy Christmas Season!

Tomorrow at 8:00 we invite all the men of the church for a hearty breakfast (Gaylan told me he’s purchased 16 pounds of bacon and 15 pounds of sausage). Following the breakfast, in place of a devotional, the men will prepare the breakfast for the next day.

Speaking of Sunday Breakfast, please remember to bring your “Dress a Live Doll” items to Church at 9:15! We will be wrapping them in preparation for distribution later in the week.

Also on Sunday, we will be welcoming a Christmas Brass Ensemble, with members of our own congregation, local Band directors, and Wayland music professors. My son, Wiley, was put in charge of forming this ensemble, locating the players, scheduling the rehearsal times, and has even written one of the arrangements. Not that I’m proud (that would be a sin), but I have to say, he’s done a good job. Come and enjoy a Sunday brass extravaganza!

The youth will be caroling at 3:30 p.m. at the Nursing Homes for some of our shut-ins, and we need your help! Please come and join in some Christmas cheer for those of our family who can’t make it to church on a regular basis.
