NOROC Romanian Mission

NOROC is a Christ-based, non-profit organization working primarily with Romanian orphans in the town of Tulcea. It was begun and administered by our regional governing body, the Palo Duro Presbytery. Several members of our congregation have gone to Romania to work with this ministry, most recently Whit and Barbara Hunt. Please see slideshow to the right for some pictures of their trip.

Noroc is a Romanian word which means "God Bless." This name has been adopted because it also reflects our mission: To share God's blessings by providing New Opportunities for Romanian Orphaned Children spiritually, developmentally, socially and medically. For more information about Noroc, please visit the NOROC Website.

Dr. Liz Searles was commissioned by Presbytery to be our NOROC Mission Co-Worker. She is beginning a three year term beginning in March, 2013. For more information about Liz, please visit
