Gene Whitfill

​

Gene graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a degree in Biology. After a failed attempt at farming, Gene completed another major (math) and entered the education profession. He taught math and computer classes in 8th grade through 12th grade. After 8 years of classroom teaching, Gene became the Technology Director for Plainview ISD. During that time, he completed his doctoral degree from Texas Tech University. Currently, Gene serves as the Dean of Education at Wayland Baptist University.
